The Story

Founded in 2014, DRG is an innovative multi-brand franchise. Like its counterparts, DRG hosts an annual “wow” event to celebrate company accomplishments and the year’s biggest contributors.

Why? Because recognition is ESSENTIAL to combatting retention in the high-turnover restaurant industry. 

We’ve served as an extension of the client’s in-house team for four years and counting. In 2019, Grapevyne jumped in to provide support to a savvy group of executive assistants at the helm of Leadership Summit planning.

The recent racecar-themed summit really kicked our creativity into high gear! Partnering with the client to become a “winning team,” we provided loads of dynamic video content and event materials PLUS custom merchandise and a one-of-a-kind pit stop photo backdrop.

The Process

Grapevyne is involved in the planning and marketing of several franchisee annual recognition events.

For DRG’s cool 2023 Formula 1-inspired Leadership Summit in Vegas, we joined the client’s event committee from the start to help kick off planning and ideation.

After presenting mood boards and other materials, we raced toward the Finish Line with video planning and production, social media strategy, and whimsical design and copy. And topped it all off with LIVE unobtrusive social engagement and video coverage.

It all started with illustration by hand …

DRG Summit 2023 design was inspired by a custom wall mural we produced previously for the company’s corporate headquarters.

Depicting the diverse landscapes of DRG’s key Taco Bell markets, the colorful mural was brought new life with exciting event-themed elements like a Formula One race car and an amped up Vegas scene.

The final product became the “pitstop” photo backdrop and inspired the rest of the event’s materials and creative strategy.

We also provide print materials and signs on the fly, assist with the company’s quarterly internal newsletter, and produce custom video content. Can’t wait for next year’s summit!
